A unique opportunity to be a Star!!

LateNite Films is seeking talented freedivers with confidence underwater to star in an underwater music video.

LateNite Films is a Melbourne based film production company. They’ve recently completed music videos for Guy Pearce and are currently shooting a Screen Australia funded web-series called ‘The Wizards of AUS‘.

Simultaneously, LateNite Films are in pre-production on this music video for American Doubles and their single, ‘The Swell’. The song is subject for commercial release in the second half of 2015 and for airplay on Rage.

The clip is being directed by filmmaking duo Daniel & Jared Daperis from the 5th-8th of May in Melbourne.

The concept of the video follows a girl as she jumps off a pier and lands into an underwater magical world, where she finds herself in a beautiful and majestic cocktail party complete with band, bar and waitstaff.

It’s an incredibly adventurous idea and everything is coming together brilliantly to achieve such a concept.

With such a unique environment to be filming in, conventional actors just won’t cut it and we’re looking for competent freedivers who can handle themselves underwater doing breath holds and looking comfortable at depths of up to 3.5m in a dive pool.

They’re after an array of talent both male & female of all ages and ethnicities, primarily 18 and over. Casting includes both our lead stars as well as featured actors throughout the clip – so the more the merrier!

The emphasis is really on strength and comfort underwater. The acting demands are very limited – mainly just subtle reactions and looking relaxed on a breath hold of about 45 seconds, without goggles or nose clip.

A screen test / pool test will be scheduled in the next couple of weeks to discover just the right talent!
